Fused, Printed and Stitched Silk Papers

A series of delicate, parchment like art – textiles.   Constructed from layered handmade silk papers, inlaid with fine threads.  Stitching developed from original design work using Bernina embroidery software.

Layered silk papers, inlaid threads, hand printed with a japanese barren, from a digitally etched wood block.  Inks Charbonnel Agua Wash.  Handstitched marks.  Low relief.
